What are UnMentor's underlying principles and core values?

UnMentor's entire business, every decision we make is based on our ten underlying principles and core values. While we do not claim to be perfect - far from it - we strive to fully attain these values and improve in their direction, daily.

Contribution
We believe that each of us is here for some reason, and in our case, that reason is to make a positive and sustaining difference in the lives of the people we touch. We call that contribution. It is the purpose of UnMentor to help business owners and entrepreneurs accelerate their businesses, and rapidly achieve More Profits and More Life. That is our contribution.

Financial Independence
We believe that in part, we are in business to make a profit, and the ultimate goal of that profit is financial independence: having an abundance of funds with which to sustainably do as we please. We value the pursuit of financial independence as a worthy component of any life.

Keeping Our Word
We believe that we are most effective by doing exactly what we said we would. We value keeping our word and see it as a source of power: that when we say something will happen, it will. We recognize that we are not perfect, and that occasionally we will not deliver what we promised or that our plans will change. When this happens we will say so, and if appropriate, make amends.

Ethics
We believe that each of us must operate with clear distinctions between right and wrong, between good and bad. We are committed to making choices based on that clear distinction. We value doing the right thing, and insist that all our business decisions be measured against this standard.

Passion
We value passion, that force that springs from loving your work and bringing your whole self's energy to it. We believe that passion makes us more creative, more energetic, more effective, more accomplished, and more infectious. After all, we come this way but once and our work should be a passionate celebration.

Authenticity
We believe that it is important to have a deep understanding of who we are, our whole selves, with honest genuine acceptance, and to choose our strategies for success to capitalize on that original, real substance.

Excellence
We believe in doing each thing as well and as best we can, and getting it done. We value excellent results of the highest quality, and are less concerned with flawlessness and the perfection of how.

Life Long Learning
We believe in continually learning new things, deepening our understanding of our craft as well as the larger world around us, and deliberately evolving throughout our entire lives. To that end we will read, study, dialogue, inquire, take courses, take notes, develop new ideas, promote them and expose them to criticism and expansion, and educate ourselves in the university of life.

Commitment
We believe that true freedom is gained through sustained commitment to a worthy purpose. We value and take seriously our commitments to others, and ourselves both personally and professionally. We stand by those commitments, and expect to be held accountable for the promises we make.

Flexibility
We believe the ability to remain open, and alter and adapt our programs, methods, systems - even our basic concepts and beliefs - is a key to achieving our goals and realizing our vision. We believe that we can be our best only when we are committed to the possibility and not the process. We strive to remain flexible along our path .
